Post Recommended 40k 2nd Ed Tactics/Lists for Squats
I'm curious as to what army lists people use or have used in second edition. Likewise, what general principles of army construction or tactics for squats work or worked well.

The living ancestor seems to me an obvious must-include once the points level is sufficient. With a force weapon, a living ancestor is ridiculously powerful in close combat, even before we get to using the psychic powers.

There was a list in the Black Codex that came with the second edition box.

Here are some sample pages that can give you a sense of what it was like.

There was also a subsequent attempt in Inquisitor #15 to make an updated second edition list. The designer notes are interesting:

I think DS codex is largely inspired of everything i see here. But there are so many additions to follow evolutions of the game and armament since that, that it can't be really compared.

For my part, it's difficult to find people accepting to play in V2. I prefer to keep a modern way of playing, and everyone then want to play with me. Because it's a new army for them. Even if the majority says that it's a cheated codex. Like all fan made stuff.
